PLIOGRIP® by Valvoline Heavy Duty Truck Repair Products
SMC REPAIR SYSTEM
SMC Repair Adhesive forms the backbone of the PLIOGRIP by Valvoline SMC repair system and
may be used as a saturating adhesive for backing patches, pyramid patches, or as a long work
time SMC & fiberglass panel bonding adhesive. Finishing Cream, our award-winning skimcoat
adhesive that sands like a putty but is flexible as any panel, completes the system. Finishing
Cream may be used for minor cosmetic damage or a finishing coat for structural SMC repairs.
Matting Adhesive is available for technicians that prefer a faster-curing saturation adhesive for
backing patches.
SMC/FIBERGLASS PANEL BONDING SYSTEM
The PLIOGRIP 7700 urethane system has been approved by leading OEMs for panel replacement
on SMC hoods for more than 10 years, and its PLIOGRIP OEM cousins are used in the factory on
more than 90 percent of the SMC hoods on the road today.
• Choose Plastic Panel 3, Plastic Panel 10 or Plastic Panel 35 depending on the time you need for the repair. In either 400ml or 600ml formats, PLIOGRIP by Valvoline Plastic Panel products have the fastest room temperature cure time of any competitive SMC bonding product. And they are sandable.
• SMC Repair is an SMC & fiberglass panel bonding product in addition to being an excellent
repair adhesive and may be used for plastic panel bonding applications requiring up to 60
minutes of work time.
